What makes a company a great place to work? This year Fortune magazine named Google the number one company to work for. What makes Google so special? Try an on-site car wash, hair salon, fitness center, Laundromat, and even doctors. Add in gourmet meals and pet friendly offices and Google can’t be beat. On a smaller scale, the November 2006 edition of Utah Business Magazine named A Plus Benefits (that’s us) one of the top three small businesses to work for in Utah. The companies were chosen by conducting employee surveys and an evaluation of benefits packages, vacation time and paid holidays.

One reason A Plus Benefits received top honors is because we pay 100 percent of the employee’s and dependent’s health premiums. Additionally, A Plus offers a smorgasbord of other Fortune 500 level benefits including a company matched 401k, access to dental and vision insurance, a company sponsored term life policy and paid time to participate in charitable events. Perhaps more important, employees agreed that the working environment at A Plus makes their job fun. It’s no on-site car wash, but it does prove that we practice what we preach, i.e. providing access to superior benefits promotes a more positive attitude about work.
